Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF)

Established in February 1997 by members of the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM), with headquarters in Singapore. The foundation aims to promote better understanding between the societies of Asia and Europe. It reports to an International Board of Governors comprised of representatives from the 38 ASEM countries and the European Commission. The international ASEF events in intellectual, cultural and people-to-people exchange are held in many of its members countries. [en]

Asia-Europe Institute, University of Malaya

Postgraduate research and teaching institution established under the ASEM process, for the improvement of Asia-Europe relations. Aims to facilitate the understanding of cultures, histories, politics, economics, business and legal practices through a network of institutional contacts. [en]

Asia-Europe Museum Network (ASEMUS)

Network for co-operative projects between museums in Asia and Europe, supported by the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF). The secretariat is located at the National Museum of World Culture in Sweden. [en]

Asia-Link Programme

Initiative of the European Commission to promote regional and multilateral networking between institutions of higher education in Europe and Asia. Provides grants for the support of organized, targeted and sustainable cooperative projects. [en]

Bertelsmann Stiftung - Focus on Asia

The foundation's initiative to promote efforts to increase the European-Asian dialogue in the areas of politics, culture and civil society. [de, en]

Austrian-based association of young composers and musicians from many countries with the goal of giving new impulses to the cultural life by the exchange of ideas between Asia, Europe and America. [de, en]

Institute of European Studies of Macau

Opened in 1996 as a bridge between the European Community and the Asia-Pacific region. Works in the areas of education (incl. Chinese and European art and culture, cultural administration), research, distribution of information (newsletters, conferences). [en, zh]
